Vehicle Description
This 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 has a rumbling V8 big block
power, four-on-the-floor, and a factory-correct color combo that
indicates a true Super Sport. And there has been a comprehensive
restoration to make sure this is a muscle car classic that's
shining, authentic, powerful, and absolutely awesome.
The trim tag tells us this is wearing its factory-correct Monaco
Orange. That's quite important because the only way to get a
code-72 on a 1969 Chevelles was when the Super Sport trim came from
the factory. So yes, this is a real-deal SS! This is also the same
color that would be later called Hugger Orange, and since that's an
iconic way to present a muscle car, it has been resprayed to give
you the kind of radiant style that gets this coupe noticed. It's
part of a full restoration that was completed in the winter of
2021. So you have a fresh and sharp-looking total package that
includes good body lines with doors that open cleanly. Plus, those
form-hugging chrome bumpers shine like mirrors. There's the right
touch of darkness you get on a true Super Sport with the
blacked-out grille, matching tail panel, and length SS stripe.
There are more great Super Sport features like the dual power dome
hood, wide dual exhaust tips, and mag wheels. And as you look into
the care that has gone into this one, you can really see how they
properly presented a legend.
More of the restoration investment can be seen inside with the way
the upholstery, door panels, carpeting, and headliner look dark and
distinctive. This attractive look is part of a package built to
give you a true vintage feeling. You see it in terrific details
like the working dome light that greets you when the door opens and
the button-top presentation on the two wide rows of bench seats.
But this one also loves to be a real driver's car. That's why you
have a column-mounted tach and Hurst floor shifter. And while they
took the time to subtly install a retro-style AM/FM digital radio
with USB input, we bet your real favorite driving soundtrack begins
under the hood.
A true Super Sport needs a truly powerful motor, and so it's great
to have a proper 402/396 cubic-inch V8 under the hood. This is a
later motor that was built for added power with a Holley
four-barrel carburetor, an Edelbrock intake, and long tube headers
feeding the 3-inch X-pipe dual exhaust with Pypes mufflers. Making
sure you have firm control over it all is the Muncie M20 four-speed
manual transmission. As you look underneath the car, the full
restoration also meant newer suspension components. That gives you
added confidence in enjoying and driving this classic. Plus, power
steering, power brakes, and front discs make it an all-around solid
cruiser.
If you're a muscle car fan, you already know how rare it is to find
a true 1969 Chevelle Super Sport. So when a real-deal SS is also
restored for show and go, you know you need to hurry up if you want
it to be the star of your garage. Call today!!!
