Vehicle Description
This 1961 Ford F-100 Unibody is a very unique pickup. It has a rare
body design, a classic two-tone style, an overdrive transmission,
and an upgraded fuel-injected V8 under the hood. It all makes for a
custom pickup that was meant to be enjoyed to the fullest.
The fourth-gen F-Series debuted for 1961 with a distinct option.
Buyers could get a sleeker unibody style. This was made to
specifically go well with the new design that had a full-length
sweeping line where the unibody could showcase it nearly
seamlessly. And 60+ years later, the clean sheet metal of this
example still knows how to showcase it nicely. We like how the
light blue paint has the right gloss to show off this distinct
body, but it also never gets too fancy for an honest truck style.
There's even a spray-in bedliner to keep the bed looking handy.
Plus, it has an overall nice style with fresh weather stripping,
newer headlights, and bright chrome bumpers. And we especially like
the look of the classic white wheels. They go well with the
whitewall tires and white roof for a subtle two-tone that's pure
classic cruiser cool.
The interior has an attractive and useful style. The updated bench
seat has comfy cloth inserts and nicer contouring than stock. It
does a good job of adding comfort without getting too fancy for a
truck. Other updates like the floor cover and headliner are all
about making this fresher while still feeling vintage. Even the
classic steering wheel looks good. But as you spot integrated
upgrades like the Lokar shifter and center gauge replaced with a
full Dakota Digital package, you start to understand that this
likes to be more than just a good 'ol truck.
Under the hood is legendary Ford power, but something that comes
from decades more advancement. It's a fuel-injected 5.0-liter V8
like the ones found in Fox-body Mustangs. We love these hardy
motors, and this one is nicely done with fresh red paint on the
valve covers, a serpentine belt, an electric fan, and an MSD coil.
You even have headers feeding into the dual exhaust. This still
likes to have the classic truck feel going down the road, but with
modern touring tires and a four-speed transmission with overdrive,
it also knows how to be a real cruiser.
The unibody trucks were only available for a few years, and this is
the rare classic Ford pickup that has been upgraded so that you can
show off its uniqueness with power and comfort. Call today!!!
