When you're looking for the kind of classic you can drive and
enjoy, this 1968 Ford Mustang hits the mark. With upgraded V8
power, four-on-the-floor, an A/C interior, and cool performance
details, this is the pony car that loves to gallop down the road
with you.
It's easy to get impressed with the way this car looks. It's paying
tribute to the California Special with its Shelby-style fender
scoops, fiberglass tail with built-in spoiler, and
Thunderbird-style tail lights. Plus, the front end has some of the
best power-pony details, like the GT350-style hood and
Boss-inspired chin spoiler. Other iconic Mustang upgrades include
the Wimbledon White color, snake-bitten Shelby badges, and Mag 500
wheels. It's impressive, but remember that this one is about being
a fun cruiser. So the fit and finish are more about carefree
enjoyment than competing at the car show. And as you dig through
all the other details, you'll see the full theme is about a fun
classic made to be driven.
The interior continues the feeling of a useful classic. The tan is
a bright color that feels inviting. This is true because you have a
nice coordinated tweed on the upholstery, doors, and even the dash.
Upgrades like the AM/FM/CD stereo and cold-blowing air conditioning
make for a more comfortable cruiser. Plus, it's a true driver's car
with upgraded high-back front bucket seats, a wood-rimmed steering
wheel, white-faced gauges (including the under-dash auxiliary
ones,) and a Hurst shifter.
Under the hood, this Mustang has been upgraded to a 351 cubic-inch
Cleveland V8. It has even been suggested (but unconfirmed) that it
has been enlarged to a 392 stroker motor. We see this has been
upgraded for power with a Brawler four-barrel carburetor, an
Edelbrock intake, and long tube headers. It also has good
supporting pieces like a large Champion aluminum radiator, an MSD
ignition, Ford Racing finned valve covers and a Shelby-style Monte
Carlo brace bar. This warms up to be a strong powerhouse, and the
four-speed manual transmission was freshly rebuilt to make sure you
can confidently take control of it all. Power steering, front disc
brakes, and wide BF Goodrich T/As are all about this solid driver's
package.
Complete with a car cover. This is a distinct custom classic that
wants you to enjoy the drive. So if you're looking for a classic
coupe road warrior, don't miss this Mustang. Call now!
