horsepower. With Audi's 8-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission
and full-time all-wheel drive, the V8 engine rockets the luxury
sedan to sixty miles per hour in a whopping 3.9 seconds. The Audi
A8 L Sport features an upgraded engine that boasts 15 more
horsepower over the standard, non-sport, variant. For comparison,
the BMW 750i, a main competitor of the A8, can only make the 0-60
sprint in 4.4 seconds.
The example presented here is finished in a rare Havanna Black
Metallic paint color over a Velvet Beige leather interior. Audi A8s
with the "Sport" designation received more aggressively styled
front and rear fascias and 20'' 5-double-spoke wheels. Exterior

front and the rear. All materials found in the car are of the
highest quality. Soft-touch plastics, soft leather, and wood
accents can all be found within the interior. Continuing on with
the luxurious interior, this Audi A8 features an Alcantara
headliner and the optional Guard all-weather floor mats. This
example also features rear power adjustable heated and ventilated
seats with massaging.
Audi's goal with its flagship model was to keep occupants as
comfortable as possible and they accomplished this by including
many comfort and convenience features standard. Audi included a
panoramic sunroof, auto-dimming and folding rear view mirrors,
power rear and side sunshades, and universal garage door opener.
With four-zone automatic climate control, all of the passengers can
set their desired temperature.
Safety was also a major factor to Audi when designing the A8. With
the optional Driver Assistance Package, this car has many safety
features that are only found on top-tier cars. The Driver
Assistance Package added high-beam assist, Audi active lane
assists, Audi pre sense plus (forward collision warning), and Audi
adaptive cruise control. The A8 also has Audi pre sense rear that
will alert to rear cross-traffic which prevents backing up into
traffic. Audi also included pre-tensioning 3-point seat belts.
There are airbags everywhere imaginable in the A8. Airbags can be
found in front of the driver and front passenger, knee airbags for
the front seat passengers, curtain airbags, and pelvis-torso side
airbags for outboard seating positions.

The steering is light yet precise making for an enjoyable drive.
With the luxurious and roomy cabin, you wouldn't want road noise
detracting from the luxurious experience. That is why Audi included
dual pane windows that create an acoustic sound barrier between the
inside and outside.
Technology is abundant within the A8 with Audi's MMI infotainment
system. The MMI system from Audi features Bluetooth audio and phone
capabilities, Google Maps navigation, Audi Connect, Sirius XM
satellite radio, and visuals for the cameras located around the
car. The Audi A8 comes with not only a rearview camera but also a
360 degree top view camera that makes maneuvering this car in and
out of parking spots worry-free.
First introduced in 1994, the A8 has been the flagship of the Audi
lineup. Utilizing an advanced aluminum space frame construction,
the A8 was state of the art and took on the best from Mercedes and
