Vehicle Description
This custom 1993 Land Rover Defender 110 is #73 of approximately
500 North American Specification examples produced for the model
year and was modified by Tophat Classics after the consignor's
acquisition in 2018. It is powered by a supercharged 6.2-liter LSA
V8 engine mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission with a modified
Tophat 2-speed transfer case. The engine is equipped with
replacement driveshafts, side-mounted fuel containers, a red engine
cover, a custom air intake and a serpentine belt system. This Land
Rover also features modified differentials, 4-wheel disc brakes and
an air-adjustable suspension system. Its body was repainted in
orange under prior ownership and features a black hood, roof and
fender flares. Chips and touch-ups are present on the body panels,
and close-up photos are provided in the gallery. Additional
equipment includes steel bumpers, a roll cage, a WARN winch, KBX
headlight surrounds, front fog lights, side steps, rock rails, a
rear ladder, a roof rack, rear work lights and a receiver hitch.
The frame was refinished during the refurbishment, and the truck is
equipped with KONI shocks and a remote-controlled VB air-adjustable
suspension system. Stopping power is provided by front and rear AP
Racing disc brakes. It rides on black-finished 18-inch wheels
wrapped in 275/70 Yokohama Geolandar X-AT tires showing 2019 date
codes, with a matching spare mounted to the rear swing-out carrier.
The interior features heated and cooled RECARO seats upholstered in
black leather with orange stitching and Tophat G4 headrest
embroidery. It features replacement jute-backed black carpeting,
matching floor mats, Tophat door sills, custom-made trim panels and
sound-damping material. The steering column and floor pedals were
moved approximately 4 inches inboard, and additional equipment was
installed at that time, including a Tophat air conditioning
evaporator, cargo-area air-conditioning vents, cruise control, a
revised air-conditioning system, USB outlets, power door locks,
cruise control, a backup camera, a leather-trimmed center console,
a sound system with a subwoofer and a Kenwood touchscreen
infotainment system with navigation. The Alcantara headliner was
installed under prior ownership. A break-in oil change was
reportedly performed by Tophat at approximately 200 miles. This
Land Rover is offered with a clean CARFAX report and a clean
Arizona title.
