Vehicle Description
This custom 1948 Willys Jeep CJ2A was hand-crafted to retain it's
iconic style while providing modern, reliable power and
performance. A two-time Best Paint winner, this Willys is featured
in the Jasper Engines & Transmissions 2023 calendar. What really
separates this Willys from the 1948 original is performance and
reliability through a Jasper remanufactured and warrantied
fuel-injected Gen III LS V8 engine paired with fully rebuilt
4-speed SM465 manual transmission, Dana 300 twin-stick transfer
case, custom-length Dana 44 axles with ARB air lockers and
Hydroboost-assisted disc brakes. New BFG Mud Terrain 32x7.50R16
tires keep the narrow look, while new Jeep YJ leaf springs,
Bilstein shocks, a front sway bar and a rear traction bar vastly
improve the ride quality. The paint represents an original Willys
paint scheme of Picket Gray with Harvard Red, while the interior
features leather seats by Mario's Trim Shop. With a custom
removable full roll cage, folding windshield and new Bestop
soft-top, you can choose "full freedom mode" or the added security
of the roll cage with three-point seatbelts. Other modern
conveniences include a marine-grade Bluetooth-enabled stereo
mounted in the center console with dual speakers mounted underneath
the rear seat. It is equipped with new Vintage 40s series gauges,
which maintain the classic look, and a Vintage Air heater will keep
the interior warm. This restoration was built on a new
powder-coated frame and a fresh aluminum tub. Restoration
Outfitters, a small family business based in Lubbock, TX, did the
work with a vison of creating a high-end restoration of a vintage
4x4 that retains classic appeal while providing modern, reliable
performance.
