Vehicle Description
This custom 1970 Plymouth Barracuda was restored and modified. It
is powered by a replacement 340ci V8 engine featuring a
Six-Pack-style induction system mated to a 3-speed automatic
transmission. The engine was overhauled in 2018 by Bullhead Auto
Machine in Arizona, with modifications including Edelbrock
Performer RPM aluminum cylinder heads, a COMP Cams camshaft, COMP
Cams rocker arms, ARP bolts, an MSD electronic ignition and spark
plug wires. It also has an Aeromotive Phantom fuel pump and baffle
system, a King fuel block, a CVR Automotive Racing Products vacuum
canister with a gauge, a Be Cool aluminum radiator, Derale 10- and
16-inch electric radiator fans, a Dakota Digital electric cooling
fan controller, and a Painless Performance wiring harness and fuse
block. Originally finished in the factory color of Lemon Twist
(FY1), the car was repainted in metallic blue over black
upholstery, and its equipment includes staggered-diameter chrome
wheels. It features an AAR-style black fiberglass hood, front and
rear spoilers, black side graphics, a body-color front bumper,
dual-side mirrors, a chrome rear bumper, rear window louvers and
dual rectangular exhaust outlets exiting through the rear valance.
This Barracuda rides on aftermarket 18-inch front and 20-inch rear
chrome wheels mounted with 225/45 and 275/40 General Grabber UHP
tires, with the uneven tire wear noted. The ride height has been
lowered, and braking is handled by power-assisted Wilwood 4-wheel
disc brakes with slotted and cross-drilled rotors. The interior
features front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in black
upholstery with a matching-color dashboard, door panels and
replacement carpets. Simulated woodgrain accents the dash and
center console, with amenities including a Slap-Stick shifter,
power steering, 3-point front seat belts, an Antique Automobile
Radio head unit, and Pioneer and Alpine speakers. The car is
equipped with a Vintage Air system, though it has been
disconnected. **TITLED AS 1970 PLYMOUTH UNKNOWN**
