This 1966 Chevrolet Impala SS was the fun to drive full size car
from Chevrolet that was built for the discerning enthusiast who
wanted style, comfort, and performance. The gorgeous Impala SS
pictured here is finished in it's rare factory color of Tropic
Turquoise(L code) and looks great with period Chevrolet Rallye
wheels and white letter radial tires. The body is in excellent
condition, the chrome trim is great, and the side window and
quarter window glass are date code correct. Inside this Impala are
Strato Bucket seats in front, bench in back, all covered in a
matching two tone Turquoise(code 846-B) vinyl that really pops with
the Tropic Turquoise paint. A full floor console is decked out with
ashtray, lighted carpet lined storage compartment and courtesy
lights. This Impala is a well optioned car with chrome plated
bumper protectors front and rear, AM push button radio, lighted
glove box, trunk light, custom deluxe color matched front and rear
seatbelts with pushbutton buckles and front retractors, electric
clock, rubber factory Impala floor mats, power steering and dual
exhaust. Open the glove box and you'll find the owners manual,
warranty booklet, accessories guide, and even the factory sales
brochure for 66'. Under the hood is the 275HP Turbo Fire 327ci V-8
stamped F1206HCH linked to a two speed M code Power-Glide automatic
transmission. This is believed to be the original drive line and is
date coded the same month as the car. This Impala was built the
third week of December 1966 at the Norwood, OH and has a 16837 VIN
making it a true SS Sport Coupe. The underbody shows very original
with replacement shock absorbers and aftermarket Flowmaster
mufflers. Those mufflers do work magic in making this 327 Impala
sound like a real beast, it's a sound that only a real 60's muscle
car can produce. The floorboards and trunk floor appear to be
original, and the body does not appear to have ever been off the
frame. This is a very original, correct, and great driving
