What we've got on the lot here is one sharp bird! This 1967 Pontiac
Firebird sure is a looker, with bright white paint and a matching
black interior. With that color combination accented with the red
pinstriping on the 17-inch "PMD" wheels, this Firebird may just as
well be dressed up in a suit and tie. The 1967 model year was the
very first for the Firebird, which was intended as an upscale
Chevrolet Camaro, itself a response to the Ford Mustang. The
Firebird received trademark "coke-bottle" styling shared with its
cousin, the Camaro. However, the Firebird's bumpers were integrated
into the design of the front end, giving it a more streamlined look
than the Camaro. The slotted rear taillight design was inspired by
other cars Pontiac had in production, namely the GTO and the Grand
Prix, which shared the same taillight pattern. This specific
Firebird is equipped with a period-correct "YJ"-code 326 C.I. V8
breathing through a 4-barrel carburetor, good for over 250
horsepower. All that torque connects to the pavement through the
use of a smooth-shifting 2-speed "Powerglide" automatic
transmission, ensuring for seamless power delivery. The white
exterior paint looks brilliant paired with chrome ornamentation on
the wheel-wells and "gills" on the rear quarterpanels, especially
so with the red "326" emblems showcased front and center on the
hood. The interior is just as nice, presented with black vinyl
trim, a center console, bucket seats and woodgrain accenting on the
control panel for a true '60s feel. Options on this '67 Pontiac
include power steering, factory gauges, an aluminum radiator, an
Edelbrock intake manifold, an MSD air cleaner, an AM pushbutton
radio, a heater + defroster, under-dash performance gauges,
seatbelts, and a sweet-sounding dual exhaust system. The car rides
on some aggressive-looking 17" "PMD" wheels on top of a real
performance treat, a set of slick Firestone Firehawk Indy 500
tires. This '67 Firebird is hard to miss, and it is sitting on our
lot waiting for you!
