Vehicle Description
This 2021 Dodge Ram TRX Launch Edition is a rare opportunity at
something quite special. It's a supercharged Hellcat Hemi motor
placed into a serious off-road ready pickup, and the launch edition
means a loaded 4x4 with exclusive features limited to only 702
examples (the same figure as the horsepower!)
It's not just that it's a rare truck, but you had to be super-quick
to get your hands on it. The Launch Edition sold out in
approximately 3 hours! It's easy to understand why. This current
generation of Ram 1500 is already an imposing vehicle, but it has
nothing on the special treatment that was done to get to TRX duty.
There is just something unmistakable about how this one brings the
worlds of high-performance and beefy off-road components together.
It starts with the Anvil Gray paint that's exclusive to the Launch
Edition. It's a terrific name that inspires the toughness you
expect from the TRX, and this one-owner low-mileage example has a
nice shine from being treated with respect from day one. In fact,
this one commands respect. Those awesome fender flares add eight
inches of total width over the standard Ram and make way for those
big 18-inch alloys that give this the stance of a linebacker. The
dark headlight backgrounds, blackout trim, Rambar bed rack, and
full step bars add a nice dark side attitude to this, too. And the
powerful style is one display from every angle with an exclusive
hood scoop, fender vents, and large dual exhaust tips. And while a
truck like this is a true collectible, it also still knows how to
get to work. You have a fully-lined truck bed and a proper trailer
hitch. Plus, the lifted suspension has the kind of clearance and
components to be a desert prerunner.
A special edition truck is never cheap, and so these were part of
the Level 2 package with carbon fiber trim. That may sound like a
bunch of PR speak, but you'll see how it delivered such a great
combo of luxury and performance inside. It starts with all the best
in comfort features, including automatic climate control, power
windows, power locks, keyless entry/alarm, power seats, cruise
control, power-adjustable pedals, and heated/ventilated seats. This
is the latest-generation Ram, and it has one of the most modern
infotainment systems around. That means an iPad-sized multi-zone
touchscreen that runs the premium Harman Kardon stereo, Bluetooth,
navigation system, and backup camera. A future classic also means
the best in safety, including dual airbags, side airbags, and
anti-lock brakes. We especially like the contrast red stitching
around all that black leather, and the full style looks excellent
because this has the look and feel of basically new. And in case
you need a practical reason to buy this TRX, the Quad Cab layout
means a full backseat with plenty of space with limousine-like
legroom in the rear.
The reason for the TRX being so special is because they stuffed the
engine bay with Mopar muscle. We were all in awe of Dodge taking
the fuel-injected 6.2-liter HEMI V8 and then adding a supercharger
on top for use in the Hellcat cars. But having it in such a capable
truck really takes this to the next level (the included owner's
manual packet even has a Performance Features card.) The 702
horsepower is utilized to the fullest for on and off-road
potential. There is a full 4x4 control (including hi, lo, and auto
settings) and a multi-mode adjustable suspension setup. And there's
just something distinct about a truck that's equipped with remote
reservoir shocks and launch control right from the factory. It's
the kind of combo we may never see again! The eight-speed automatic
transmission, power steering, and big four-wheel disc brakes
package even bring a level of practicality to one of the wildest
trucks around.
There's just one more thing to love about the Ram TRX: its history.
This brings together some of the best Mopar traditions around.
After all, it took us many years after the muscle car era to
discover just how rare some of the most powerful Dodges and
Plymouths were, and this TRX launch edition represents that same
idea of a only handful made. So it's likely to be as coveted as a
'70 Challenger R/T 426 Hemi is today. And in fact, Dodge/Ram has
arguably done a better job of laying down a tradition of seriously
powerful pickups than anyone else. After all, don't you remember
the Viper-powered Ram SRT-10? So doesn't this just feel like the
kind of truck you want to buy today and watch the admiration
continue to grow for decades to come? Oh yeah, this is that level
of cool, loaded, and absolutely powerful. Call today!!!
