Vehicle Description
This custom 1979 Chevrolet El Camino is powered by a ZZ4 350ci V8
crate engine putting out approximately 350hp and topped with an
aluminum intake and Holley 4-barrel carburetor. Ceramic-coated
headers have been added, along with a dual-exit stainless exhaust
in the rear. For ease of use in all conditions, this El Camino
benefits from the addition of air conditioning, power disc brakes
and power steering, as well as the desirable serpentine belt
upgrade for added reliability. The suspension was updated with
front and rear anti-roll bars and a set of chrome 17-inch 5-spoke
American Racing wheels have been installed. A large part of the
restoration consisted of custom body and paintwork, which was
professionally finished, and the dark blue metallic presents in
near-show-quality condition. The door handles and body moldings
were all shaved for a smoother look and the chrome bumpers were
also smoothed out. SuperSport mirrors were added along with a
custom color-matched fiberglass tonneau cover, which gives the car
a sleek look. The interior was upgraded with reclining race-style
seats and a 1970 Chevelle center console with the correct horseshoe
shifter. A billet steering wheel connected to a tilt steering
column has been installed, and the El Camino is also equipped with
power windows. This El Camino is the recipient of a recent service.
A restoration binder and receipts, two keys and two door remotes
are included with the sale. It has just over $38,915 in custom
touches and shows 1,491 miles after the full restoration, which was
completed in 2016.
