1975 HAND-BUILT LIMITED PRODUCTION CAR WITH SENSATIONAL STYLING.
ONLY 125 TOTAL WERE BUILT IN 1975. THE EXTERIOR DESIGN IS LIKE NO
OTHER. IT'S A FIBERGLASS BODY. THE INTERIOR RESEMBLES THE COCKPIT
OF AN AIRPLANE. IT HAS FULL INSTRUMENTATION, OVERHEAD SWITCHES, AND
A CENTER CONSOLE. EASY TO MAINTAIN GM RUNNING GEAR. IT HAS BEEN
REPAINTED. IT IS A UNIQUE, EXPERIENCE OWNING AND DRIVING AN
AVANTI.
Built for the Raymond Loewy exhibit at the Smithsonian's Renwick
Gallery in Washington D.C.
When the car was delivered to the Smithsonian, it had to be turned
on its side to pass through the main door
