Vehicle Description
This custom 1979 Ford F-350 4x4 pickup received a complete
nut-and-bolt rotisserie restoration. The body was dipped and
stripped to bare metal and all PPG paints were used, from the DP
epoxy primer to the DBC base coat and DCU 2021 concept clear coat.
The chassis was stripped, sandblasted and powder-coated. The engine
is Ford's new Godzilla 7.3-liter with OBR's control pack and CVR's
front runner pulley setup. The new Boyd Welding aluminum fuel tank
with an in-tank pump feeds the engine under the hood. The 6R80W
6-speed automatic transmission was built by Xtreme transmissions
using U.S. Shift's controller, all mated to an Atlas transfer case.
The original high-pinion Dana 60 Sno-Fighter front end was
disassembled, stripped and powder-coated, and all new parts were
installed. The Dana 60 rear end was given the same treatment, but a
new posi-traction unit was installed. New drive lines were made and
4-wheel disc brakes were also fitted. The interior is a fully
custom leather and plaid combo with a suede headliner,
leather-covered dash pad and Euro-style carpet custom-molded to the
floor and inside the back of the cab. New 17-inch U.S. Mags slot
wheels are fitted with 33x12.50R17 BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain tires.
Dakota Digital RTX gauges were fitted to a new dash bezel. The
Vintage Air system works to keep the occupants at a perfect
temperature. It is also equipped with an Ididit tilt steering
column and rebuilt steering box.
