Vehicle Description
This 1986 Chevrolet Camaro IROC Z/28 is a two-owner car who were
father and son. So it's not just irresistible that you get a
fuel-injected V8, T-tops, and all your other favorites, but it's
also so amazing that you have the opportunity to be the first owner
outside of the family.
This is an actual mileage car, and so it has seen less use and
better care than many others out there. You see that in how it
still retains a nice shine on the finish. In fact, this
factory-correct Bright Red paint shows all signs of being the
original application. It's not perfect, but it continues to be
impressive for a car rapidly approaching its 40th birthday. So the
few signs of enjoyment are more about telling the original history
of a father/son IROC-Z. But desirability goes far beyond just this
car's legacy. Chevy knew how to dress its most aggressive Camaro
correctly. The full body kit, hood louvers, rear spoiler, and
16-inch IROC-Z alloys are all part of a planned attack as the top
V8 Camaro made sure you never looked at another Mustang again.
There's a cool black and gray stripe pattern that encircles the
exterior of the car. Not only does it look great against the red,
but also it's a preview of the interior colors, too. Just like the
exterior, everything feels highly stock and well-preserved. It has
great features for everyone to enjoy like power windows, power
locks, the stock AM/FM/cassette stereo, and provisions factory air
conditioning (it will need servicing to blow cold again.) Plus, it
has a great driver's machine feeling with the factory three-spoke
wheel on the tilt column that has been specifically developed for
comfortable hand positioning while still getting a clear view at
the full gauge package with large speedo and tach. The upgrades are
subtle. There are little things that make this a more fun cruiser,
like the cup holder on the center console and the cool red glow of
the LED interior lights. There's even an aux input for the factory
radio to plug in a modern phone/iPod. So you can listen to the best
driving music as you go cruising with the T-tops out.
With such a unique history on this car, it's great to lift the hood
and see the number-matching motor. The 305 cubic-inch V8 looks
exceptionally well-preserved, right down to the factory decals. The
TPI fuel injection makes this motor smooth on the highway and quick
from a standstill. It made this gen Camaro a great all-around
driver. So did the IROC-Z enhancements to the sports suspension.
Plus, you have power steering, a limited-slip rear end, four-wheel
power disc brakes, cruise control, and a four-speed automatic
transmission with overdrive. And while the mileage is low, this one
rally is meant to be enjoyed. That's why you have some well-placed
upgrades like the lowering springs, adjustable panhard bar, and a
Flowmaster muffler on the exhaust (most of the stock items also
come with the sale.)
A car this special also comes with the right paperwork to help tell
its story. This includes the original bill of sale, warranty card,
and owner's manual. Rarely does something so well respected leave
the family's hands, and so at a price like this, you know you need
to hurry. Call today!!!
