Vehicle Description
This 1957 Chevrolet Corvette Fuelie convertible underwent a
body-off restoration. This was the first year for the fuel-injected
engine in Corvettes, and this example retains its original
matching-numbers engine. It is powered by the original EL-code
283/283hp fuel-injected engine with a high-lift camshaft backed by
a 4-speed transmission. The 283/283hp engine possessed the highest
horsepower produced for 1957. This car is finished in red and white
paint with a tan convertible top. It rides on matching wheels and
tires. This Corvette features a Wonder Bar radio, tachometer and
gauges and working power windows. Only 379 of these cars received
power windows in 1957. This convertible's underside is fully
restored and matches the rest of the Corvette.
