Vehicle Description
The recipe for success is easy: take one handsome 1958 Chevy 3100
Apache pickup, drench it in vivid orange paint, give it a
comfortable and tasteful A/C interior, add an overdrive
transmission, and power it with a potent small block V8. The result
is the kind of truck you'll love to show and drive.
The full restoration of this truck was only completed a few months
ago, and the quality and freshness are seen right from the first
impression. The orange metallic paint makes this pickup look
candy-coated. There's also bright chrome, clean lines, and an
overall sleekness that has gone into restoring this truck. There's
a reason for so much distinction on this pickup. The 1958 Apache
design ushered in a new era of style. The wide four-headlight front
end, crisp hood arches, and wraparound windshield are instantly
distinctive. So you have a pickup that may have been built for
ruggedness, but today we especially cherish them for offering the
detailed style that defined the 1950s. After all, look at the rear
fenders with crisp lines and a rounded profile. This is more
artistically designed than some 1958 coupes! And the deleted
badges, flush roll pan, polished exhaust tips, and 17-inch US Mags
polished alloys to give it a terrifically updated style. But as
much as modernize this pickup, it never loses the classic appeal of
real wood in the truck bed.
The black interior looks great against the bright orange exterior.
There's a freshness to the seats, carpeting, headliner, and other
fundamentals - even the weather stripping - that remind you how
recent the restoration was. And well-integrated features like a
retro-style AM/FM stereo and cold-blowing air conditioning tell you
there was an emphasis on comfort. The sports steering wheel, tilt
column, and full dolphin gauge package make the driver's seat a
command position.
The engine bay has the same fresh style as the rest of the truck.
This was produced at the beginning of GM's small block era, so it's
nice to have V8 power. But the 350 cubic-inch displacement is also
larger than they offered in 1958. This also inhales deeply with a
Holley four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales with a sweet tune as
the dual exhaust feeds into Flowmaster mufflers. This is a truck
you will want to drive, so the upgrades reflect that. The Champion
aluminum radiator helps keep the whole package running cool, and
the 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission gives you
highway-friendly overdrive. There's also power steering, power
brakes, front discs, and new modern touring tires to round out this
all-around appealing setup.
There are plenty of build receipts helping to document this truck's
fresh and comprehensive restoration. It makes for a beautiful
pickup with driving appeal for trips near and far. Call now!
