category and the luxury category a 1977 Pontiac Grand Prix is just
the car.
Under the hood sits a Y4 code 400 CID V8, which is what this car
left the factory with. The Z in the VIN lets us know it's an
original 400 car and the Y4 block is a 1977 Pontiac 400. Back that
engine up with a stout Turbo 400 3-speed automatic transmission and
you're ready to roll! The transmission tag is also dated 1977, so
there is a good chance this Grand Prix is numbers matching!
The V8 engine is topped with a new 4-barrel carburetor, and it runs
fantastic! Power steering, power front disc brakes, A/C, tilt
steering wheel, power windows, rear window defroster, and a modern
Pioneer stereo make this a nicely optioned classic car! It also has
factory cruise control, but it is not currently functional.
The exterior is painted in a rich and very 70s Light Yellow Cream
paint with a Nutmeg vinyl roof. That vinyl roof is matched to lower
sport rocker stripes, side body moldings, and a pinstripe. The
interior is plush and very clean! The tan vinyl split bench seat
looks great next to the simulated woodgrain on the dash and door
panels. The brown accents throughout the interior are warm and
rich. The factory round gauges are working and definitely give that
muscle car vibe from the driver's seat!
The engine compartment is clean and correct. This car is ready to
have the hood popped at car shows, showing off that big V8. The
trunk is also nicely detailed with a factory spare and jack
assembly. The underside is about as clean and solid as the come,
especially in this price range!
