Vehicle Description
There's always added distinction in owning a 1964.5 Ford Mustang.
Plus, this one gives you upgrades for a sportier appearance and
extra ponies under the hood. So it makes for a significant classic
that's also fun to drive.
Carroll Shelby wasn't yet involved with upgrading Mustangs when
this early production coupe was built, but it certainly is
channeling some of that later spirit. Wimbledon White with racing
stripes painted all the way over the top gives this a terrific GT
kind of vibe. And since this one is sporty it's also kind of nice
that it's driver-ready and driver-quality. You still get the
classic details, right down to the badging and bumpers. But it's
also nice to have an overall finish that's easy to take out for a
carefree drive on a whim. We even like how the upgraded 18-inch
Boss wheels coordinate with the darkly tinted glass and black
racing stripes while also letting you fit better driving tires.
The interior continues the feeling of a car made for driving. The
seats, carpeting, and door panels all look good in black. You'll
appreciate classic sporty pieces like the front bucket seats, floor
shifter, and thin/grippy steering wheel. The gauge panel has even
been customized to fit a comprehensive readout panel. Plus, a
driver's car needs better driving music, and so they upgraded this
with stereo speakers and a retro-style AM/FM digital tuner with aux
input to plug in your phone or iPod.
The engine bay continues the performance style. The bold red block
Ford Racing valve covers are part of a tidy look of serious added
power. It's a 302 cubic-inch V8, which was larger than anything
offered in the first year of the pony car. And more than just extra
displacement, the power was upgraded further with a four-barrel
carburetor, an Edelbrock intake, and long tube headers feeding an
X-pipe dual exhaust. There are also terrific supporting components
like a full MSD ignition package and an aluminum radiator. We were
told this was rebuilt less than 8k miles ago, and it has the strong
feeling of a well-built and fresh powerhouse. So you'll love the
power it makes and the tune of the dual exhaust. So you know you
want to take it out for a cruise. That's also why it comes with
nice driving features, like a three-speed automatic transmission,
power steering, power brakes, upgraded front discs, and an added
rear sway bar.
This offers the distinction of the earliest pony car, and there's a
bigger motor to make it gallop better. So at a price like this, you
know we won't have this deal in our corral long. Call today!!!
