Vehicle Description
1957 Ford Ranchero - 390ci V8 - Automatic Transmission - Black Over
Red Interior - New Brakes - Sunpro Tachometer Ford's Ranchero was a
new model for the 1957 model year. Although not exactly a
completely new concept, pulling up to the local watering hole and
saying, check out my new car may have been met with a response of
hold your horses! Is that a car or a truck? Truck-car, or
car-truck? We seem to have that debate whenever we have a Ranchero
or El Camino in our showroom. The Aussies decided to make the
debate a little simpler and come up with a name for this type of
vehicle: the ute. Whatever you choose to call this vehicle, you've
laid your eyes upon a tastefully customized Ranchero. Offered here
is a 1957 Ford Ranchero which has an exterior finish in
factory-correct Raven Black over a two-tone red and white interior.
A 390ci V8 can be found under the hood, and a few hot rod styling
touches can be found both on the interior and exterior. Having been
originally built as a utility vehicle, you may expect that Ford
would have held back on adding chrome to the vehicle. However, this
Ranchero has just the right amount of chrome which highlights the
body lines. A line of chrome sweeps down the side of the vehicle
and a large section of chrome highlights the wheelbase of the
vehicle. At the front of the vehicle is a chrome bumper, multi-slat
grille chrome grille, and thin chrome accents above the headlights.
The rear quarter panels evolve into small tail fins before ending
abruptly just above the round tail lights. Ford script at the front
of the vehicle and a Ranchero logo at the back make it clear what
this sleek, black automobile is. The paint is in good condition
throughout, bar the roof which has some crow's feet and cracking in
the finish. It looks to be an older repaint, but the body panel
fitment is dialed in, and the paint is glossy. Red steel wheels are
wrapped in wide-white wall tires, and covered with sleek chrome
covers. The bed has been finished in a textured matte finish. This
Ranchero comes with a few extras in the form of tail lights, side
skirts, and head rests. Inside the vehicle is a tidy interior
consisting of contrasting red and white trim. The trim is in great
condition throughout from the carpeting to the headliner. Red and
white trimmed seats look great and really pop paired with the red
dashboard and black carpeting. Extra's include a column mounted
SunPro tachometer, teardrop dash knobs in red and white, and
tasteful white pinstriping. The engine is a 390ci V8 which is
painted blue, and has a chrome trimmed Edelbrock air cleaner.
Whether you consider it a car or a truck, this Ranchero is an
awesome ride. Sleek styling, a two tone interior, and a 390 V8
under the hood, are all bits that help make this Ranchero a unique
and attention grabbing ride. Please call if interested or e-mail
with specific questions. Thank you for looking.
