Vehicle Description
This 1971 International Harvester Scout 800B has been refurbished
and modified, work includes refinishing the body in orange and
rebuilding the 304ci V8 engine. A replacement 3spd automatic
transmission is mated to a Dana 20 dual-range transfer case and
Dana 44 front and rear axles. The 304ci V8 engine was overhauled
and has a Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection, an Isky
Performance 256-degree camshaft,a Petronix Flame-Thrower ignition
coil, a CRT performance HEI distributor, tubular heads, and a
Champion Cooling aluminum radiatior with dual 12" electric fans, an
aluminum coolant overflow tank and radiator shroud, a GM based
alternator, and a Painless Performance fuse box. Additional work
includes stripping and refinishing the engine compartment using a
black POR-16 coating. This vehicle features a removable hardtop,
Hella H4 headlights, heavy -duty dorr hinges and LED taillights to
name of a few. It also has 15" alloy wheels mounted on BF Goodrich
all terrain T/A K02 tires, and Warn locking hubs upfront. The
brakes are modified with power-assisted Scout II-based front discs
and drums in the rear. The suspension was upgraded to Bilstein
shocks, and a 2inch lift kit was added. The interior features black
and grey bucket seats and a rear bench seat, along with a D and C
extreme 4-point roll bar, 30point seatbelts and a Lokar shifter.
This truck was fitted with a Retrosound Hermosa head unit and 2
5.25 Audison Prima speakers. The dashborad features a
wood-grain-rimmed steering wheels with brand new International
Harvester-branded SPeedhut instruments that include GPS. This
vehicle also features a WARN winch.
