Vehicle Description
STK 3386 1956 Handyman 210 Wagon
This Chevrolet 210 'Handyman' 2-door post wagon is an unusual
tri-five. It was fully restored (2012) and is a striking example of
a classic with relatively original appearance, but with strategic
mechanical upgrades. The Chevrolet is sold with a clear North
Carolina Salvage Title, which is not that unusual for a custom
resto-rod.
The restoration began with a straight exterior that was
professionally reshot in what appears to be the Chevy colors Coral
(1955) and Dawn Gray (1956). Exterior detail is outstanding and
chrome/stainless is excellent. Accents include the chrome Chevy
'Flying Jet' hood ornament, color-matched bumpers and 15"
period-correct American Racing alloys w/BFGoodrich Radial T/A
tires. The only thing that rivals the exterior is the completely
restored Charcoal/Grey interior (2019). Every detail has been
carefully addressed - seat upholstery, headliner, door panels,
carpeting - all carefully upgraded. The 210 is equipped with air
conditioning, power front windows, tinted glass, padded dash, power
locks, seat belts and tilt-column w/Grant padded wheel. The dash
pod holds a set of custom analog gauges and an AM/FM stereo system
provides tunes.
Under the hood sits a new 350ci small-block crate motor that sounds
amazing. Enhancements include an aluminum intake, Edelbrock 4V
carb, electronic ignition, chrome dress-up kit and aluminum
radiator. Exhaust is routed through Patriot stainless tube headers
to a free-flowing stainless exhaust w/crossover pipe. Behind this
Mighty Mouse sits a GM 700R4 4-speed automatic and differential
with street gearing. The chassis is equipped with power steering
and power disc/drum brakes w/dual master cylinder and ceramic pads.
The Chevy has a lowered, resolute stance on a front coil/rear leaf
suspension w/front sway bar. The owner also states that the gas
tank is a sedan version. This outstanding '56 'Handyman" belongs in
your Bowtie garage - put it to work. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS"
