Vehicle Description
This custom 1957 Chevrolet Corvette convertible is powered by a new
supercharged LSA 6.2-liter V8 engine producing a factory-rated
556hp and 551 ft/lbs of torque with a full stainless-steel exhaust.
The engine is paired with a T56 Magnum 6-speed manual transmission.
The car sits on a Paul Newman chassis that includes power rack &
pinion steering and 4-wheel power disc brakes. The engine is cooled
by a custom-built Be Cool radiator. The stainless-steel fuel tank
is built by Rick's Tanks. The paint was stripped off the body with
the plastic media-blasting method, and is finished with Evercoat
polyester primer topped off with Axalta base coat/clear coat paint.
This Resto-Mod is finished in Jet Black with a matching Stayfast
convertible top. The Torch Red leather interior features reclining
custom seats for added head and legroom, and a Vintage Air system
handles interior heating and cooling. The customized steering
column provides additional leg room. The car was upgraded with an
electric actuated hood opener and an AM/FM/Bluetooth Wonder Bar
radio. The interior floor, firewall and underside are finished with
LizardSkin ceramic coating for sound and heat control. The trunk is
complete with Torch Red leather and carpet. This ride features
custom rear quarters to accommodate the Schott wheels and Pirelli
P-Zero tires. The project was completed in November 2019, with over
1,800 hours invested in the build. **TITLE IN TRANSIT**
