Vehicle Description
This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro COPO re-creation was completely
stripped, blasted where needed and prepped for its complete
rotisserie restoration. After being on the rotisserie for six
months, the body was painted code 72 Hugger Orange. It was now
ready for its completely restored subframe, including all front and
rear end suspension parts, all of which were blasted, primed and
painted the correct colors for a premium restoration. It is powered
by a 427ci engine refreshed by B+B Engines out of Appleton, WI, and
mated to a rebuilt original GM Muncie 4-speed transmission with a
new 10.5 Hayes clutch. A new Hurst 4-speed shifter and rear end
with 4.10 gears were installed, along with a new Moser 12-bolt
posi-traction and a new driveshaft built by Driveline Services out
of Green Bay, WI. The exhaust was updated to a completely
original-style chambered exhaust, down to original COPO-style
tailpipes. It has original-style exhaust manifolds with an original
replacement smog emission system. The intake is an original Winters
with a new COPO replacement carburetor. Fine Lines supplied all the
OE brake lines, while Summit Racing provided the OE-style power
brakes and master cylinder. New GM shocks were installed front and
rear. The car is rolling on 15-inch COPO wheels with new COPO
replacement hubcaps wrapped in new Coker Goodyear wide-tread tires.
A heavy-duty radiator was installed, along with all OE-style GM
hose replacements. Additional features include a special induction
hood, D-80 Spoiler Package and a radio/heater delete. This
re-creation has 50 test miles on it since restoration was complete.
