For Sale: 1969 Ford F100 in San Diego, California

Vehicle Description

This 1969 Ford F-100 is a modified example that was built in 2017 by Lucky 7 Speed Shop of Sutter Creek, California and was acquired as a prize through the 2018 Goodguys Grand Prize Giveaway. It was subsequently sold on BaT, given away again by RestoMods.com, and has been refurbished and presented for sale once more.

The steel bodywork is finished in red over a black interior and has been mounted to a custom frame constructed by Scott’s Hotrods ’n Customs. Power is supplied by a Roush Performance 5.0-liter SR Coyote V8 crate engine paired with a Tremec T-56 six-speed manual transmission and a Moser 9” differential. Additional equipment includes a custom-fabricated bed floor and tonneau cover, a Vintage Air air conditioning system, Dakota Digital gauges, an aftermarket stereo, independent front suspension, JRi adjustable hydraulic coilovers at all four corners, Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes, 18” U.S. Mags wheels, power windows, and more as outlined below. This F-100 is now being offered with a clean Arizona title.

The steel cab and bed were taken to bare metal and smoothed with various seam lines filled, and a custom-fabricated firewall, replacement floor pans, and a custom frame from Scotts Hotrods ‘n Customs were installed. The body was repainted in PPG Toner Red by Bodylines by Nickel of Hughson, California, while the trim, tailgate panel, front grill, hood stripe, and side moldings are finished in satin black. Additional features include shaved bumpers and supports, a relocated fuel filler, LED headlights, and custom exhaust cutouts in the quarter panels behind the rear wheels.

The bed was fitted with a custom-fabricated raised floor featuring an integrated storage area for the batteries. A hinged paint-matched hard tonneau cover with a custom satin black lip spoiler and strakes caps the bed.

The 18” staggered-width U.S. Mags wheels are finished in matte black and wrapped in BFGoodrich g-Force Rival tires sized 275/35 up front and 315/30 out back. Stopping power is provided by Wilwood discs with six-piston calipers and 14” rotors at all four corners. The truck rides lower than stock on independent front suspension with JRi-sourced adjustable hydraulic coilovers at all four corners, sway bars, rack-and-pinion steering, and four-bar rear suspension with a Watts link.

The cabin was lined with Dynamat sound deadening and Quiet Ride insulation prior to the installation of a replacement dash pad and black leather seats from TMI, which are accented by red stitching and fitted with lap belts. A center console has been installed and houses a Kicker KMC2 digital stereo and subwoofer, twin cupholders, and controls for the power windows and Vintage Air A/C system. A video tour of the interior is available here.

A black Flashpower steering wheel is mounted to a Flaming River tilt steering column and frames a suite of Dakota Digital instrumentation including a Goodguys-branded 120-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer with an inset digital clock, and auxiliary gauges. The digital odometer shows just over 5k miles, approximately 1k of which have been added by the seller, who notes that following the truck’s debut, it was driven on the 2018 Goodguys Hall of Fame Road Tour leaving Kindig-It Design in Salt Lake City, Utah to Texas Motor Speedway.

The engine bay features custom inner fender panels and houses a 5.0-liter Roush Performance SR Coyote V8 that was factory-rated at 425 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque. A PRC aluminum radiator and Painless Performance wiring harness and fuse panel have been installed.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec T-56 six-speed manual transmission with a Centerforce clutch and Hurst shifter mated to an aluminum driveshaft and Moser 9” differential.

Most recent work included mechanical overhaul, battery replacement, and paint.
