Beautiful time capsule. Purchased from a neighbor's estate in 2020,
this 280 received a major mechanical refurbishment to get it into
top condition after sitting for 20 years. $12,000 in recent
receipts. Everything works as it should. AC converted to R134a and
blows cold. Feels like a low mile car. No squeaks or rattles, just
cruising in style. One professional repaint years ago is looking
great.
Work completed in 2020 and 2021 included:
New carburetor, fuel tank, pump and lines, valve adjustment, AC
conversion to R134a, control arms, bushings, crossmember, sway bar
links, steering parts rebuilt, engine and transmission mounts,
driveshaft supports, wires, points, plugs, valve cover and exhaust
gaskets, transmission service, radiator repair, crankshaft seal,
belts, hoses, tires, battery.
