Alloy Wheels. When the Shelby GT-H "rent-a-racer" coupe of 2006
proved wildly popular among both renters and collectors, Hertz and
Shelby American decided to raise the fun factor for 2007 by
offering the second year of the Hertz Shelby as a convertible. Like
2006, only 500 were built by Shelby American for rental in major

Shelby American factory in Las Vegas, where two-man production
teams converted the V-8 Mustangs into Shelbys, starting by updating
the exterior with a vented "deep-draw" hood with click-pins, a
handsomely plain grille with the running-horse badge offset on the
driver's side, a convertible light bar and bold Shelby block
letters on the trunk lid. Functionally, each 2007 Shelby GT-H was
equipped with Ford Racing's Handling Pack that added a strut-tower
brace, larger sway bars, lowered springs and firmer ride tuning.
Low-restriction Ford Racing mufflers and an X-shape crossover pipe
provided the growl, while 3:55:1 rear gearing supplied improved
torque multiplication. A Ford Racing cold-air kit and tuning upped
the factory horsepower rating to 325 HP. Like all
