This Goodguys Builder's Choice Award-winner was built by Platinum
Unlimited in Post Falls, ID. Over 2,000 labor hours were put into
this no-expense-spared build. The body has numerous subtle custom
modifications and is finished in PPG Torch Red base coat/clear
coat. This Chevrolet is powered by a 6.2-liter LS3 Corvette engine
mated to a 4L65E 4-speed automatic transmission. It all sits on an
Art Morrison chassis and suspension with all the trimmings,
clean-sheet independent front suspension with Strange coilovers, a
mandrel-bent frame, 4-link Currie 9-inch rear axle, Wilwood power
disc brakes on all four corners, power rack & pinion steering and
HD sway bars in the front and rear. The custom American Buffalo
leather interior features a custom-made dashboard with Dakota
Digital gauges, a Vintage Air system with custom-made nickel-plated
vents and cruise control. This 3100 rides on custom polished
20-inch wheels wrapped in Continental low-profile high-performance
Z-rated tires. Other features include an Ididit Tri-Five tilt
steering column with a scaled-down leather-wrapped steering wheel,
Rick's 24-gallon fuel tank, LED headlights, ceramic headers with a
custom exhaust, a Kenwood Bluetooth subwoofer stereo system with a
backup camera, power tinted windows, a MAR-K tubbed bed, Dynamat
cab insulation, aluminum radiator and Newport Engineering wipers.
