Vehicle Description
In 2001, Carroll Shelby authorized Unique Performance of Dallas to
build 75 GT500E continuation Super Snakes. The GT500E was the most
powerful regular production Shelby offered for general sale. It has
a unique history; it was originally delivered in February 2006 and
was returned to Unique Performance in early 2007 for service. While
in service, Unique Performance entered bankruptcy, and the car
ended up in custody of the Texas state police. Upon release, it was
sent to Revved Automotive Performance for service and repair from
impound. Finished in Raven Black with red striping, #23 of 43 is
powered by a bored and stroked Shelby Performance 427ci V8 engine
with 482ci of displacement and a Vortech supercharger. Fitted with
a Ram hydraulic clutch mated to a TREMEC TKO600 5-speed manual
transmission and 3-inch aluminum driveshaft. Other notable features
include a Currie 9-inch rear axle with 3.50 gears, Torsen
differential, Total Control power rack & pinion steering, 4-wheel
disc brakes and 17-inch American Racing Shelby Cobra wheels. The
interior features custom leather a Shelby shifter, 5-point G-Force
safety harnesses and special Shelby "Super Snake" badging and
branding. In the trunk is a Rick's fuel cell and NOS tank, Sony
subwoofers and a full-size spare tire. The car is listed in the
Shelby American Registry with serial number CSE67431F41SS023,
although it now has an Arizona state-assigned VIN. It comes with
documentation that includes marketing material, original Build
Sheet, final assembly checklist and departure checklist from Unique
Performance. It also includes an authentication letter from Carroll
Shelby Licensing and service receipts, dyno sheet and
authentication letter from Revved Automotive Concepts. This has
also been licensed as an Official Eleanor Tribute Edition and comes
with a Certificate of Authenticity. **TITLED AS 1967 FORD RECON**
