This custom 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu SS Resto-Mod Pro-Touring
coupe has a Powerhouse twin-turbo 373.67ci LS engine that is bored
over 3.905 inches and stroked 3.900 inches, with all forged
internals and an eagle crankshaft with ARP stud kit. The custom JE
forged pistons compression ratio of 8.5:1 and the Isky custom
ground crankshaft has been specced out by redline performance at a
0.600 lift with 112-lobe center ISKY lifters and a 650-valve lift.
The engine is mated to a GM performance 4L85E Supermatic
transmission with a 2,400-stall premium torque converter and Currie
9-inch rear end powder-coated gloss black. It features intake
Manley H-beam rods with ARP rod bolts and machine work performed by
Benson's Machine Shop, with the Speartech fuel-injection system
engine harnessing 75 pounds per hour, along with high-impedance
Siemens fuel injectors, aeromotive fuel rails and a fuel-pressure
regulator. It has a Rick's custom stainless-steel fuel tank with
dual Walbro 400-liter-per-hour fuel pumps tuning by Powertrain
Dynamics at 9 psi of boost. This car is also equipped with a
Huntington Beach LS6 GM performance intake manifold with XS Power
70, a Melling high-volume oil pump, Manley Inconel 1.575-inch
valves and a 2.020-inch exhaust. It also features Currie 35-splined
axles, a 3.25 gear Detroit Truetrac locker custom driveshaft with
Spicer 1350 U-joints, Currie alloy pin and billet support assembly,
anodized red half-inch lug stud suspension with a 1,350-yoke,
powder-coated upper and lower A-arms, CPP performance bushings, CPP
2-inch drop spindles, CPP lowering springs in the front and rear,
Hotchkis rear 4-link suspension, an upper to lower rear tiebar,
large front and rear sway bars, brakes and an E-Stopp electric park
brake assembly. It also has Wilwood front hubs with half-inch lug
studs, a HydraStop brake booster with a Wilwood tandem master
cylinder, Wilwood Dynalite 6-piston front and 4-piston rear
calipers powder-coated in red, and Wilwood vented and drilled front
and rear rotors. It is equipped with dual valve springs, 125 at
1.80 seat pressure, with a GM Performance timing chain. This
high-end, 4-year build is painted in House of Kolor Blue Blood Red
Sg-105 painted by West Coast Collision in La Habra, CA. The body is
fully sealed and primed in Dupont K200 primer, and the body was
stripped to bare metal with all-original sheet metal and no
aftermarket panels. It features a shaved wiper cowl and firewall
with all-new glass. This original California car has a full custom
leather interior, with Glide Engineering low-back seats with
Dynamat bolsters throughout the floors, doors and trunk, along with
a Porsche carpet and suede headliner. It has a Covan classic gauge
cluster with AutoMeter gauges and a hidden stereo in the glove box.
The custom center console is wrapped in leather with a Street
Bandit B&M shifter and Q-Forms speaker panels wrapped in
leather. This car rides on patina-exposed 5-spoke billet wheels
that measure 18 inches up front and 20 inches in the rear with
Nitto NT05 tires.
