Vehicle Description
This custom 1970 Dodge Challenger was built on the TV show "Detroit
Muscle" distributed by PowerNation. Nicknamed "UltraViolet," this
build started out with a fairly rust-free car with only a few of
the body panels needing replacement. The body was completely
blasted to start the restoration. Artwork and rendering was
designed by Dale Swanson, while Ryan's Rod & Kustom in South
Carolina completed the Carolina Violet paintwork in Carolina
Violet. The frame was changed to a high-quality Schwartz
Performance G-Machine frame featuring triangular rear suspension
with coilovers and an anti-roll bar driven by a Moser 9-inch rear
end with 4.110 gears. The engine is a one-of-one Monster Low Deck
426ci HEMI built and designed by Indy Cylinder Head out of
Indianapolis, IN. A complete polished serpentine pulley system was
supplied by Summit Racing. This car is also equipped with a
polished direct-fit aluminum radiator and a complete stainless
X-crossover even-tube exhaust system. The exhaust is completely
wrapped with DEI exhaust wrap. It has dual FAST throttle bodies for
fuel delivery and FAST electronics for ignition and computers. The
transmission is a T56 Magnum 6-speed with a complete hydraulic
clutch system supplied by American Powertrain. This Challenger has
coilovers up front with Schwartz Performance rack & pinion and
power steering. The car is easy to stop with Baer 6-piston 14-inch
disc brakes at all four corners. The interior has white leather
front and rear seats and an Ididit steering column built and
supplied by American Powertrain. Highlighting the whole ride -
other than the custom-built Shaker hood - are the one-off Amani
19-inch wheels, 19x12 in the rear and 19x9 in the front, wrapped in
Nitto Envo tires. The car comes with the original artwork that was
done before, during and after the build. The car is being sold with
all 12 DVDs that include footage of the entire build.
