This custom 1968 Plymouth GTX Resto-Mod is powered by the original
440ci V8 Super Commando engine mated to a 4-speed manual
transmission with a Dana 60 rear end. The factory 440 Commando
engine was fully rebuilt with a larger COMP Cam and the Edelbrock
6-barrel setup. A set of ceramic-coated Doug's headers was
installed, as was a full stainless MagnaFlow exhaust system. The
car rides on a new QA1 front tubular K-member and suspension with
RideTech rear coilover suspension, and rolls on 18x8 and 18x9 U.S.
Steel wheels wrapped in Nitto tires. Hidden behind the Smoothie
wheels are all-new Wilwood 12-inch 6-piston front brakes and
12-inch 4-piston rear brakes. Full nut-and-bolt restoration back to
original specifications, including the original Turbine Bronze
Metallic color and a interior.
