Vehicle Description
This custom 1968 Porsche 911T is #18 out of only 928 built for this
one-year-only model. With a complete body-off restoration to
show-quality standards, this one-of-a-kind custom 911 was completed
by legendary Porsche builders 911 Dawson Vintage LLC. Not your
standard Porsche 911T, this car has undergone modifications and
restoration, from the subtle rear exhaust design to the full custom
distressed-leather interior. The Porsche started life with the
original matching-numbers 1991CC 6-cylinder engine that has been
detailed and completely rebuilt to high-performance specifications
and now has custom twin Weber triple-barrel 6-carburetor stacks
with a completely detailed engine featuring many powder-coated
parts. The under-hood area is detailed as well. The engine is mated
to the optional 5-speed transmission that was available in the 911T
and has been completely rebuilt to high-performance standards. The
brakes have been upgraded and are as-new. The suspension features
new shocks, and all stock parts were cleaned, rebuilt and detailed
to show-quality. This car has power windows and rides on chrome
custom Fuchs wheels. The bodywork showcases straight lines and is
finished in a custom exterior paint, while still holding true to
vintage Porsche colors. The rubber weatherstripping on the doors,
trunk lid area, and front and rear windshield areas are in as-new
condition. The interior of this car is finished in completely
custom leather throughout the cabin. The 911T features a 3-spoke
steering wheel with the Porsche crest in the center, all rebuilt
gauges are installed in the dash and it is equipped with power
windows. This Porsche features a new electrical system and is
air-cooled. Additional highlights include projection headlights, SC
metal fender flares, German square-weave carpet, a modern Porsche
communication sound system and drilled 4-wheel disc brakes.
