Vehicle Description
This custom 1955 Chevrolet Cameo Resto-Mod is powered by a 350ci
Chevrolet crate engine hooked to a Billet Specialties Tru-Trac
front runner system, with Holley carburetion, header exhaust system
and an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans, all backed to a
4-speed automatic transmission. The underside features a fully
modified chassis consisting of a Heidts custom front end with
adjustable coilover shocks and tubular control arms, and a rear
suspension consisting of a custom triangulated 4-bar setup with
adjustable coilovers hooked to a Ford 9-inch rear with 3.73 gears.
Stopping power comes from a CCP 4-wheel power disc brake setup with
13-inch front and 12-inch rear slotted and drilled rotors rolling
on custom Chip Foose wheels wrapped in Continental ExtremeContact
tires. Finished in custom 2-stage PPG Dark Blue Pearl paint with
dark metallic gray accents, all color-sanded and buffed to a mirror
image. This pickup has a custom wood bed with custom tinted and
stained slats to tie into the interior. The custom interior by
Jay's Hot Rod Upholstery is finished in Mandarin Ultraleather with
black custom insert bucket seats, along with custom door panels,
console and headliner. Inside luxuries consist of comfortable
seating, power windows, a Vintage Air system, blue-lit Dakota
Digital VHX gauges, tilt steering column, remote entry, backup
camera, navigation, a Pioneer touchscreen multimedia entertainment
system with Bluetooth, a Lokar shifter and a Lokar electric
emergency brake system, all run through an American Autowire
Highway 22 wiring kit. This Cameo is a full custom build with less
than 100 miles since completion.
