Vehicle Description
This highly optioned custom 1980 GMC K5 Sierra Classic Jimmy
recently received a complete, frame-up restoration. The
third-generation square-body was only produced for five years
(1976-80), with 1980 featuring square headlights. This generation
comes with a hardtop that is removable from the cab back. This
Jimmy's rebirth started with a lifelong rust-free truck. It was
stripped to the bare tub and painted inside and out in two-tone
black and silver. The power plant has been upgraded with a 454ci V8
big-block engine connected to the factory rebuilt 3-speed automatic
transmission. It also boasts upgraded 8-lug axles, corporate
10-bolt in front and a full floater corporate 14-bolt in the rear
sourced from a late '70s GM truck. This Jimmy also has power
steering and power brakes. The upgraded Sierra Classic interior
features a JVC stereo Bluetooth head unit with 14 JBL speakers
placed throughout. The original seats have been restored in gray
houndstooth and vinyl. All the factory gauges are in operable
condition. The original removable hardtop has also been completely
restored. This Jimmy rides on a new 6-inch suspension lift and a
new set of 18-inch Detroit Steel D-Town wheels with factory hubcaps
wrapped in new Toyo R/T 37x12.5R18LT tires.
