restoration and retains its original drivetrain that matches the
Protect-O-Plate. This Z/28 is powered by a rebuilt 350ci LT1 mated
to a Muncie 4-speed transmission with a 12-bolt posi-traction 3.73
ratio rear end. It also retains its original carburetor,
distributor, intake manifold, water pump, 772 fan, exhaust manifold
and exhaust system, along with the original gauge cluster, AM
radio, original jack, spare tire and wheel. The new paint is
factory color code correct of Cranberry Red (code 75) with black
stripes and black interior (code 711) and still rides on its (new)
original 1970 5/8-inch stem-hole 5-spoke wheels wrapped in Goodyear
Polyglas GTF 60/15 tires. The original documentation that will
transfer with the car will include Protect-O-Plate, Broadcast Sheet
(Build Sheet), transit card, owner's manual with exterior envelope,
owner's original registration and original owner's traffic
ticket/warning. This is one of 8,733 produced and was built in the
first week of June 1970. Originally purchased in Pueblo, CO, in
July 1970, it has resided in Colorado to date. The current owner
has had the car since 1999 and performed the meticulous
restoration. 37,537 miles (title reads exempt).
