Vehicle Description
This 1970 Chevrolet El Camino SS re-creation is powered by a new
454ci V8 HO engine hooked up to a new Auto Gear Direct M22 Muncie
Rock Crusher 4-speed manual transmission. It is also equipped with
a brand-new 12-bolt posi-traction rear end with 3.42 gearing that
is all-new, axle to axle. This El Camino rides on all-new
suspension components, as well as all-new brakes and wheel
cylinders, including master cylinder and booster. There's a new
fuel system from the fuel tank to the Holley 750 cfm carburetor.
This El Camino underwent a 2-year frame-off restoration by a
professional mechanic. It was a frame-up build done to GM LS6
specifications. The frame and suspension were powder-coated Hammer
Gray. The interior features bucket seats, Dakota Digital
instrumentation and a very custom 5-channel Kenwood stereo with a
wall behind the seats. The exterior had new glass installed and new
trim, including emblems and bumpers with new lenses and housings in
the front and rear. They made 500 LS6 El Caminos; this is a
re-creation version for the 21st century. It's finished in Shadow
Gray with a black stripe and is equipped with factory air
conditioning, factory power steering and factory disc brakes.
