This 1978 Ford F250 is a really cool and very clean truck that
spent its life in the Pacific NW. It is an older frame on restored
truck that was built to be a fun driver. Since the truck was rust
free when restored and it was going to be driven, the underside was
cleaned but left original. It is a great color and a fun truck. It
runs and drives wonderful. The body is really clean and straight.
This truck was originally blue, but when it was restored it was
professionally painted Tangerine. The paint still looks great even
though this is an older restoration done in the last 5 years. The
original grille and surround is still very nice. It has an
aftermarket front winch bumper installed with a 9000 pound warn
winch that still looks new. Unsure if it was even used, but we did
hook up the remote plug in controller and it does operate. The
underside of this truck is clean and solid and we found no rust
issues with this truck.
The interior is really nice and they installed new carpet, new door
panels, and the seat reupholstered. The dash appears to be original
and is excellent!! The headlights, taillights, brake lights, and
turn signals are all working. The gauges all work and the wipers,
heat, and horn all work.
Mechanically this truck is excellent!! It starts easy and runs and
drives great!! The engine is the original 6.6L 400 V8 that runs
strong with no issues or red flags that we could find. It holds
excellent oil pressure. We did not receive the receipts for the
rebuild but it is pretty clear by how it runs and how clean it is
that it has been done. They added an Edelbrock aluminum intake
manifold, , holley 4 barrel carb, and dual exhaust. It has the
np435 4 Speed manual Transmission that shifts nice with a good
clutch and it is mated to the np205 transfer case. The 4WD works
like it should. The rear axle is a Dana 60 with 4.10 gears and the
front axle is a Dana 44 with 4.10 gears. This is all sitting on a
nice set of aluminum wheels with nearly new Goodyear Wrangler
Duratrac tires size 265/70/16.
