look at this stunning Dark Blue Metallic 1980 Cadillac Eldorado
Convertible! You don't see too many of these convertibles, and
you'd be very hard pressed to find a cleaner one. This car has been
restored and kept as close to original as possible except upgrades
like an HEI ignition, and R-134 conversion for the A/C.
The Dark Blue Metallic paint dances in the sun and is paired with a
bright white convertible top, simulated wire wheels, and white wall
radial tires. Most of these cars are missing the bumper fillers,
but not this excellent example! The chrome is in great shape, and
the current owner has replaced the Hess and Eisenhardt hood
ornament with a stock Cadillac one. The H&E hood ornament comes
with the vehicle. Hess and Eisenhardt is the company that did these
convertible conversions for Cadillac, and they adhere to all safety
standards. The conversion sticker is still in the driver door jamb
and says the conversion was completed in July of 1980.
The interior is plush, as you'd expect in a 1980 Cadillac. With
dark blue leather seats, and options everywhere you look, you are
in the lap of luxury. Options include: cold A/C, power steering,
power brakes, power windows, power locks, remote mirror, power
seat, power convertible top, power antenna, and AM/FM/Cassette
radio.
This Caddy comes with a nicely organized binder full of receipts
for the restoration including: new convertible top, new A/C system,
new radiator, fuel pump, injection system rebuild, distributor
replacement, spark plugs, plug wires, vacuum lines replaced, new
tires, new transmission pan and gasket, transmission rebuild,
transmission flush and filter, rebuild rear end, complete strip
down, primer, and paint of the exterior, engine rebuild, new
exhaust, all new brakes, ball joints, and more! The car was
professionally appraised for $23,000 and has been insured with
Hagerty for $20,000 with no issues.
This is a rare find! We are happy to have this well cared for and
restored 1980 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible. Possibly the best part
about this car is that it came from the factory with a 6.0 liter
V8, and that engine still sits under the hood, rebuilt and ready to
give years of enjoyment. The 4.1 Liters were notorious for having
issues, but the 5.7 and the 6.0 did not. This is the biggest engine
offering from Cadillac from 1980-1985. These were rated at 17 MPG,
which is not too bad for a big V8 powered convertible!
If you're looking for a clean Cadillac convertible, look no
further! This beauty is ready to make the next owner proud whether
it's just cruising around town, or hitting car shows and
cruise-ins. Don't miss your chance to own this very rare
Cadillac!
