Vehicle Description
No car has been used more in Hollywood than the second generation
Dodge Charger and for good reason. The Dodge Charger was first
announced in 1964 as a competitor to the newest muscle cars from
cross town rivals and was eventually produced in a variety of body
styles and sizes. While the early 1966-1967 models were powerful
and stylish, they didn't sell too well. It wasn't till the second
and third generation models that the Charger really came into its
own skin as a tough, powerful muscle car. The third generation
model was introduced in 1971 and featured a new split grill, and a
"coke body fuselage" body style.
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this beautiful 1971 Dodge
Charger R/T 440 for your consideration. This car has only 1,000
miles since the restoration. The car was completely restored 4
years ago by a local enthusiast who purchased the car from Michigan
and had it professionally restored. It is a 440 car but it is not
the original engine, the engine that is in it is believed to be a
1973 motor and it was rebuilt at time of restoration. The codes on
the fender tag decode as follows:
N85 N96 R11 V21 V6X
J55 L31 L37 (Concealed Headlamps) M21 N41 (Dual Exhaust)
