Vehicle Description
This 2002 BMW M3 convertible is a backroads burner that doubles as
a fun day cruiser for four. It's a two-owner drop-top modern
classic that's ideal for taking the long roads to get places and
getting noticed everywhere you arrive.
The M3 used to be about hiding aggression beneath an everyday
commuter body, but this generation likes to be a bit more obvious.
The integrated factory body kit, power bulge in the hood, wide
fender flares, 19-inch wheels, and quad tailpipes give it a dose of
attitude. And the Titanium Silver Metallic has a good shine. But as
this generation M3 is starting to get appreciated for its classic
status, we're glad to see this example is not going to be just a
museum piece. After all, the best M cars were made to be driven,
and the overall finish looks bright while still encouraging you to
hit the road. And everything from the way the doors close with a
reassuring sound to the fit of the black convertible top is a
reminder of why we love BMWs for both their driving nature and
overall build quality.
The gray leather interior is a harmonizing tone with the exterior
paint, and so the full package looks very sophisticated and
European. As a true driver's car, this comes loaded with features
like cruise control, power windows, power locks, keyless
entry/alarm, rear defogger, tilt steering column, power steering,
and a full AM/FM/CD Harmon/Kardon premium audio system with CD
changer. You also can keep the power convertible top down just
about any time of the year thanks to automatic climate control and
heated seats. A modern classic also means modern safety features
such as dual front airbags, side airbags, and anti-lock brakes. But
even with all these luxuries, you'll be reminded this is a true
driver's car the moment you grab the three-spoke sports steering
wheel (note the red and blue stitching in the leather.) And the SMG
II transmission means you have the choice between paddle shifting
or the stick. The seats are extremely comfortable because BMW
spends a lot of time in the engineering department to make sure
that you can power adjust them to strike the perfect balance of
keeping you planted during hard cornering, while also being
comfortable enough to always take the long way home.
The 3.2-liter inline six-cylinder motor is a marvel of engineering.
BMW built it to sing happily all the way into the higher RPMs, but
it also has the sensibilities to drive the commute with ease. It's
all up to you and how you want to row through the SMG automated
manual six-speed transmission. BMW is one of the best companies at
engineering chassis, and so the fully independent suspension and
near 50/50 weight distribution of the M3 has often been at the top
of the enthusiast magazine's wish lists. This one has even been
given a recent investment in newer Firestone sport tires and Brembo
brake pads for the four-wheel disc brakes. That's why this one
feels like such a great driving example.
The sale comes complete with the owner's manual and maintenance
records. The BMW M3 is often a car you promised yourself one day,
and if you act quickly enough, this drop-top can make your dream
much more affordable than you ever hoped. Call today!!!
