1970 Jaguar E-Type Roadster for sale! Motorcar Classics is pleased
to present this 1970 Jaguar E-Type roadster featured in British
Racing Green with black interior and black vinyl convertible top.
This car comes with a history file dating back to 2004 including
detailed receipts showing all the appropriate work to the
electrical system, brakes, suspension, steering and engine that
make this Jaguar such a delight to drive. The car was extensively
serviced by the respected Jaguar experts at Donovan Motorcar
Service in Lenox, MA, which included rechroming the bumpers, new
wire wheels, upgraded intake with triple SU carbs, new T-5
five-speed manual gearbox, replaced all rubber seals, new aluminum
radiator, and new clutch. Additional work includes new stainless
steel exhaust, new dash pad, new high torque starter, new GAZ
shocks, rebuilt steering rack, and much more. The body has had the
correct work done to insure the integrity of the floors, sills,
rockers and belly pans. A great deal was invested in the car to
make it a great road car, and everything is documented in a binder
for future reference. The steering column was recently rebuilt and
the horn button, missing in the photos, is replaced. With its
triple carb 4.2 liter engine, and 5-speed gearbox, the car is
strong on the road, with relaxed highway cruising by virtue of the
5th gear. If you are looking for an XKE to drive, then this car
deserves your serious consideration.
