Vehicle Description
This 1964 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu SS convertible was built to be
a terrific all-around cruiser. That means four-wheel disc brakes, a
classic bucket seat interior, and a cool drop-top style. Plus, the
V8 has been given a thorough update within the last couple of years
that includes more power and fuel injection.
Black Cherry is a terrific color for a car like this. After all, it
looks like someone combined the boldness of red and the
intimidation of black. The paint has a good luster and a metallic
element that has a nice radiance for a sunshine-friendly
convertible. It gets its fundamentals right, too, including clean
lights, good glass, complete SS badging, and doors that shut with
confidence. Plus, the chrome bumpers, grille, trim, and badging are
all bright and complete. Even the black convertible top has a
snug-fitting look and feel of quality. It makes for an impressive
style that also doesn't lose that driver-ready cruiser overall
impression. After all, with details like the large dual exhaust
tips and bright Outlaw II-style 15-inch wheels, you just know this
one is ready to hit the blacktop.
Beneath the black roof is a full black interior, and so this has a
full dark style inside and out. This Chevelle has a detailed
vintage style with bright classic trim, a well-fitting convertible
boot, and even the AM radio is still there for display. But the
true heart of the appeal here is how this has a driver-quality and
driver-ready feel. Front bucket seats with a center console
in-between make for the right Super Sport feel. The classic
steering wheel is even on a tilt column. And the gauges have been
nicely upgraded with a full Dakota Digital readout package nicely
integrated into the factory location.
The engine bay is detailed with a crisp and clean presentation. And
there are nice pieces like the bold orange block, matching
Chevrolet air cleaner, and polished Chevy valve covers. This tidy
style is the result of this 283 cubic-inch V8 being given a solid
investment within the last couple of years where it was taken out,
given an upgraded cam, and resealed before being reinstalled. There
are also power upgrades like Hedman shorty headers, Edelbrock EPS
aluminum intake, and topped with a Holley Sniper fuel injection
system. You've even got nice supporting components for the V8, like
an HEI distributor and aluminum radiator with dual electric fans.
Out on the road, features like power steering, a three-speed
automatic transmission, and modern cruising tires make this a great
all-around convertible. And the upgrade to four-wheel power disc
brakes gives you superior stopping power.
This is the ideal Chevelle Malibu SS convertible that loves to hit
the road. So if you want a classic to drive, you can't let this one
slip away. Call today!!!
