Since 1999, Roadster Salon has been passionately restoring and modifying Italian convertibles. As the largest resource for Spiders in North America, we currently have nearly 100 Spider chassis stock---featuring many colors, model years and options---ready for restoration.
Due to the custom personalization of our builds, Roadster Salon does not typically have fully completed cars available and ready for sale. Current lead times are in excess of 24 months. Occasionally a personal circumstance like a health or family issue creates an opportunity for a finished car to be offered for immediate delivery. This is the case in this instance. Originally delivered during the pandemic, this lovely spider has sadly become available due to the health limitations of an elderly owner. He can no longer drive a manual transmission. Only just over a thousand miles since delivery, and now is in our showroom.
This low mile, rust free example was a mid-level restoration and includes a number of Lusso upgrades. Dry climate car with exceptional undercarriage. Cosmetic and mechanical refresh completed. This is an incredible example that has been re-certified, and ready to roll. Five-speed transmission fully sorted with new clutch. Engine serviced--timing belt replaced, gaskets changed and leak free. Wear items like brake pads, tires, shocks, etc, have been replaced.
Please note that the color of this car is the original Nero Corsa (racing black). The original Roadster Salon build sheet outlining all completed cosmetic and mechanical details is available on request. Lusso upgrades include light weight custom bumpers with revised stainless upper and lower fascia. Lusso leather interior features seats, custom door panels and more. Lusso premium custom real walnut burl trim, structural chassis bracing and premium cloth top. Price includes Lusso custom 15" wheel and tire package. Cosmetic Impressions
Close inspection shows a simply outstanding that was well cared for without incident or previous damage. All key cosmetic items appear as new. Car has been refinished in its original color combination to remain true to the intent of the manufacturer. Car dis-assembled prior to paint. No tape lines, definitely high-end work. The carpets and insulation have been upgraded. Non-smoker owned, no smells, odors or mildew. One of the nicest cars we have ever offered at a budget price. The interior presentation is stunning with higher quality materials than originally presented in the car. Amazing show quality optics make this Spider ready for cars and coffee or daily enjoyment. Mechanical and Driving Impressions
Car is a joy to drive. Engine sings like an Italian Aria, and car shifts with buttery smoothness through the gears. Steering is tight with fresh front end. Braking solid. Spirited acceleration. Test runs have been kept to a minimum due to the low original mileage on the car. This sweetheart can easily be shown and transported from event to event---or driven daily. Original, vintage feel has been retained. This is one of the most outstanding combination of miles and condition you are likely to find. Car feels like it's only a few years old, and tracks cleanly. No evidence of abuse or neglect found anywhere. All mechanical concerns have been addressed prior to delivery. Grade A
Market Analysis
In terms of finish level, this spider most closely aligns with our former mid-level restoration, and covered by our exclusive warranty. It's a wonderful example that can be shown or driven daily for about half the price of one of optioned premium models. This spider is certain to appreciate significantly in the coming years, and is a great value. We must stress, this spider was a nice driver prior to restoration.
