Vehicle Description
This 1956 Ford F-100 is a fresh build with an awesome adjustable
stance, sleek styling, an A/C interior, and updated V8 power. But
you'll also see how it all has the best vintage details everywhere
from the glossy lumber in the truck bed to the desirable big back
window. The result is the kind of custom that you'll love to both
drive AND show.
Olive Drab is a terrific color. It makes us think of durable
military vehicles, except this modern metallic application has an
award-worth level of sleekness. It sets the right tone for a truck
that loves to be vintage while still giving you the custom cruiser
style. Deleted badging, an adjustable front suspension, and
color-matched Rocket 18-inch alloys make for a sporty style.
There's a cleaner look to the revised 1956 grille, and it joins the
mirror-like bumpers and bed slats for a well-done brightwork
package - which is always a must on a 1950s machine. And this one
has all the right classic details to impress, like the glossy
lumber of the real wood truck bed, full running boards, and curvy
fenders. Plus, 1956 was the year of the wraparound windshield, and
this joins the desirable and rare big wraparound rear window option
to create a terrific glass house to help showcase the interior of
this custom.
There's a nice-looking tan inside that goes with the green for a
khaki kind of color combo. The bench has an Ultraleather kind of
soft touch, and it's vastly more comfortable than anything that
came out of the 1950s. And you'll note the detail work, like how
the pattern on the seats matches the door panels. New carpeting, a
smooth painted dash, and a nice headliner make the full interior
quite inviting. Plus, you'll really love how the best features are
cleanly installed into this bold setup. Some are for better
comfort, like the cold-blowing air conditioning and AM/FM/CD stereo
with Bluetooth. Other features make this a better driver, like a
classic-style steering wheel that's now on an Ididit tilt steering
column, a full set of SoCal Speed Shop gauges, and air ride
controls under the dash.
The forward-tilt hood always looks sporty, and so it's great to see
such a well-done V8 package inside. The tidy color-matched inner
walls and clean bright motor components. This is a 350 cubic-inch
V8, and one reason to like having a bow tie in a blue oval is how
much they like upgrades. So this has a Holley four-barrel
carburetor, a Weiand intake, and headers feeding the unique
driver's side exhaust. The V8 fires up readily, idles nicely, and
drives with confidence. That's helped by upgrades like the tubular
A-arm independent front suspension, a three-speed automatic
transmission, power steering, and power brakes with discs up
front.
There is a fresh look to this build inside and out that makes for
quite an impressive pickup. You can tell they took extra time to
create such an attractive custom, and so if you take too much extra
time looking at it, this one might already be gone. Call
