1957 Oldsmobile Starfire 98 in Scottsdale, Arizona
The trim tag on this Starfire (3067DX) notes that the Festival Red
exterior (20) with a white convertible top (60) over a red interior
(359) is correct as restored. Has been driven 415 miles since a
rotisserie body-off restoration to factory-correct specifications
was completed. The limited optional J2 triple-carb V8 engine and
Hydramatic automatic transmission were rebuilt at that time. A new
convertible top with a glass rear window and the correct red and
white leather interior was also fitted. Mechanical parts -
including the wiring, brake lines, weatherstripping and exhaust -
were also replaced or restored to proper specifications during the
restoration, as were the tires and suspension components. The
bumpers and other chrome parts were stripped and rechromed, and all
the stainless-steel trim has been polished. The car features power
steering and brakes, as well as power windows and a power seat.
