Vehicle Description
This custom Hogan Built 1968 Chevrolet K10 corrosion-free pickup
has been completely sandblasted, metalworked and bodyworked,
resulting a concours-worthy refinish. After all this body spa
treatment, it was slathered in a PPG Chevrolet Black and Ice White
two-tone paint. Underneath there's a mirror finish just like the
outside. Hand-laid pinstripes divide the two-tone colors while
outlining the "Chevrolet" on the tailgate. A set of 17-inch Inovate
forged billet wheels come wrapped in 35-inch BFG All-Terrain tires.
This K10 sits on a Roadster Shop RS4-spec chassis that was
refinished in Graphite Gray. The chassis features Currie
high-pinion axles, Fox 2.5-inch coilovers with hydraulic bump
stops, dual sway bars and 4-linked front and rear. Topping it all
off is a fully polished, hand-built, TIG-welded 3-inch stainless
exhaust complete with four MagnaFlow mufflers. Stopping power is
provided by 4-wheel disc brakes that come backed with a Wilwood
Hydro-Boost. Powering this beast is a Whipple-charged 6.2-liter LS
engine built by Mast Motorsports producing 800hp on the dyno, mated
to a Hughes 4L80E transmission with an advanced adapter to support
the ATLAS transfer case. The LS3 aluminum block is refinished in
Inferno Orange and features a 2.9-liter Whipple blower and a custom
DeWitts aluminum radiator compete with all stainless lines and
hoses. A custom air intake forces cool air into the engine, and it
features vintage "Chevrolet" valve covers with hidden coil pack
adapter plates. This pickup is equipped with a Roadster Shop
stainless full cell with dual Walborough fuel pumps, and the body
also features a hidden taillight gas fill, Altman door latches, a
stained wood bed floor and all flush glass. The exterior is
finished off with modern-style billet door handles and billet
mirrors. The stunning interior features a factory-style bench seat
using Snowden foam covered in black leather with gray stitching and
cloud inserts. Taking it to the next level, 11-karat certified
Australian fire opals have been set into the seat back. Keeping the
dash classic are white Classic Instruments gauges and a 15-inch
original-style steering wheel. The comfort level is kept perfect by
a new Vintage Air system. The audio system is powered by a
RetroSound head unit with custom-made speaker panels that hold two
carbon 6.5-inch components and two carbon subwoofers. To tie it all
together, the body, chassis and engine are wired with an American
Auto wire harness that was professionally installed to fit
perfectly. This is a true no-expense-spared, nut-and-bolt
restoration.
