Vehicle Description
This custom 1966 Chevrolet Nova II called "Novacane" was
custom-designed by Steggie's Garage in Guthrie, OK. On the outside,
the car is cloaked in a deep color called Crystal Graphite.
Meanwhile, the interior is finished in Cabernet leather, completed
by James Carter Custom Interiors, and also features a waterfall
console, suede headliner, a custom-built dash, Novacane badging and
door sills. At its heart is a fuel-injected 7.0-liter Chevy LS7 V8
engine that has a Beck intake, as well as all Billet Specialties
accessories and custom-made valve covers. All that power is
transferred to the pavement through a TREMEC 6-speed manual
transmission, mated to a Ford 9-inch Moser rear end. The
Pro-Touring treatment includes a Detroit Speed suspension,
QUADRALink in the rear, a hydro-formed full front frame fitted with
tubular upper and lower control arms, DSE/JRI aluminum body
coilover shocks with "Detroit Tuned" valving and power rack &
pinion steering. All of this is tied to the ground by a set of
18-inch Schott Performance Cover-Loc wheels with Pirelli rubber.
The car sports a custom stainless Wilwood brake system, with
6-piston front calipers and 4-piston calipers in the rear powered
by a Hydro-Boost system. The interior features a booming Kicker
sound system, Vintage Air system and Dakota Digital gauges. The
front and rear bumpers have been shaved and tucked along with the
body lines, and it has CAD/CNC-designed front grille. The front and
rear windshield have flush-mounted glass and the door glass is one
piece.
