This custom over-the-top 1972 Ford Bronco won the Bill Stroppe Best
in Show award at Fabulous Fords Forever and was chosen among the
Top 10 trucks at the SEMA Show Battle of the Builders. Built by
Matt Hunt Muscle Cars Inc., whose team completely revamped the
Bronco from top to bottom, it is powered by a stroked 347ci Holley
Terminator X fuel-injected V8 engine producing 480hp paired to an
automatic transmission with overdrive and an Atlas II transfer
case. The gear-driven transfer case propels a True Hi9 third member
out back and a Ford 9-inch axle up front. Attached at each end of
the custom Camburg axle housings are Wilwood disc brakes, which get
extra clamping force thanks to a hydro-boost conversion. The custom
King suspension has front coils with dual King 2.0 remote reservoir
shocks, radius arms, custom rear Deaver leaf springs with King 2.5
remote reservoir shocks with compression adjusters and 2.0 bump
stops. Working with the custom radius arms and front coil springs
are dual 2.0 King remote reservoir shocks with 4-inch-travel bump
stops and a 2.0 steering stabilizer, and it has front and rear
custom Currie Rock Jock torsion sway bars. Out back, the custom
Deaver leaf springs are dampened via the King 2.5 series
remote-reservoir shocks, which were fit with compression adjusters
to further dial in the ride. All of this works to cycle the
Raceline 17x10 Monster beadlocks with 35x12.50R17 35-inch Nitto
Trail Grappler tires. There is a Rockford Fosgate PMX-5 head unit
in the dash and Rockford Fosgate PMX-3 controller in the center
console for back seat control. The speakers up front are Rockford
Fosgate as well. In addition, there is a Rockford Fosgate Punch
subwoofer under the passenger seat and Rockford Fosgate PM2652W-MB
Punch 6.5 mini-tower speaker with custom-made rollbar mounts in the
rear. All are powered by a Rockford Fosgate Punch P1000X5 1000-watt
5-channel amplifier. There are custom-fabricated front and rear
bumpers and a front-fitted WARN winch and Rigid light bar. In the
rear, there is a 35-inch tire holder with a cam lock. Additional
features include AMP Research power steps, with Rigid Industries
components such as an LED light bar across the top windshield, rear
roll bar lights and dome lights mounted on the roll bar. In
addition, there is a billet tilt steering column with a billet
steering wheel and Simpson seats front and rear.
