Vehicle Description
This custom 1959 Chevrolet Corvette roadster was designed and built
by the Hot Rod Service Company in Campbell, CA. Powered by a
Chevrolet LS7 engine with a custom camshaft, a Kinsler carbon-fiber
IR Cross-Ram, a Billet Specialties front runner serpentine kit, a
custom-fabricated dual cold-air intake and stack boxes. The engine
is mated to a Chevrolet 6L90E transmission equipped with a Currie
Truetrac 9-inch rear end with 3.73 gears and a 3-inch aluminum
driveshaft with a Holley engine-management system. This Corvette
also features XRP Hypalon fuel lines and fittings, Autowire chassis
wiring and a stainless-steel, hand-fabricated 3-inch exhaust
exiting through the bumper. With Forgeline wheels in the front and
rear, this roadster includes a hand-fabricated boxed chassis that
has been widened and stretched, along with a narrowed rear section
for larger wheels. It features a chassis cross bracing and custom
exhaust ports with reliefs, fabricated body mounts and interior
chassis roll bar supports, with front tubular chassis and body
support. This car also has a hand-fabricated rear-end housing and a
4-link system with a custom wishbone. It rides on custom suspension
mounts for air ride with AccuAir suspension management, and has
Wilwood drilled and slotted rotors (14-inch rear and 15-inch front)
with 6-piston calipers. This Corvette also has a Wilwood dual
master cylinder with custom Hydro-Boost, fabricated stainless-steel
brake lines, a stainless-steel fuel system with a stainless-steel
18-gallon tank featuring an in-tank pump, and a taillight fuel
filler. Finished in custom Triple Black, the exterior features a
custom cove, front fender and trim enhancements, and a custom front
grille and spears. Equipped with custom shaved and tucked bumpers,
custom front and rear valance panels, hand-fabricated and bucked
windshield struts and surround trim, a custom-fabricated front
windshield, and a hand-fabricated inner fender and firewall
structure. The interior has a billet-trim custom dash and a gauge
pod, custom gauges with aluminum bezels, billet gauge surrounds and
a column mount, and a hand-laid fiberglass center console with
custom grab bars. Features a push-button start with all-billet
function buttons, a remote battery cutoff, a power emergency brake,
exhaust cutouts and a custom hand-stitched interior, including
seats and leather floorboards. The interior also includes Mercedes
square-weave carpet, leather trunk billet sill plates, Clayton
machine works pedals, an Alpine stereo system, a Flaming River
steering column, billet rack & pinion steering with a center
console shifter, a billet paddle shifter with HUD display, a MOMO
steering wheel, power door locks, trunk and power hood latches and
a Vintage Air system.
