Vehicle Description
This 1972 Chevrolet K5 Blazer is a complete custom build with
attention to detail throughout and a recently completed
nut-and-bolt restoration. Thousands of hours went into this
no-expense-spared unique build. The body was acid-dipped and then
finished in Sikkens Silver Blue and white paint laid over a
laser-straight body. The frame was acid-dipped and then
powder-coated black. This K5 is powered by a new GM Performance LS3
525hp. The engine is mated to a 6L80 6-speed automatic transmission
and is equipped with an advanced adapter to support the NP205
transfer case. The suspension features Offroad Design leaf springs
and a 4-inch lift. It has completely rebuilt front and rear 8-lug
axles with a 4.10 rear ratio. It rides on KMC Machete machined
wheels with 35x12.50x17 BFGoodrich KM3 tires. Some of the other
highlights include a Vintage Air system, a custom TIG-welded
exhaust system, a Rick's stainless-steel fuel tank, stainless-steel
brake lines, Ultimate stainless-steel headers, a Performance Rod
and Custom Aluminum radiator, a Billet Specialties front drive,
custom-made Wegner Racing billet valve covers, a CPP Hydro-boost
brake booster, a custom-made air intake, a custom Autosound stereo
and Classic Instruments gauges. The K5 has a custom leather and
plaid interior done by award-winning Jon Lind in Oyster leather and
blue and white plaid. The dash, console and door panels are wrapped
in leather as well to complete the look. The K5 also comes with a
completely restored top finished in white. This show-quality build
was done with the best available parts and a high level of
attention to detail.
